After a successful Under 16 carnival with Vic Country in 2019, Tom like all of his fellow Victorians was starved of playing opportunities in the 2020 and 2021 Season due to the COVID pandemic. However Tom used the time to focus on the areas of his game that required work, ensuring that the games he did get to play in 2021 he made count.

Making a great start to the 2021 season, Tom was unfortunately struck down with a significant ankle injury resulting in him missing 10 weeks. Diligent and professional with his rehabilitation, Tom made a great return playing some great games for Murray Bushrangers, Geelong Grammar, and Vic Country.

A dashing half back flanker with a dynamic kick, Tom has settled into his new surrounds at Punt Road. Despite not playing a game in 2022, Tom managed to play consistent football in Richmond’s VFL team. Tom restricted early in 2023 with injuries and illness, but recovered to make to play great football in the VFL and subsequently made his debut in round 24. Tom then signed on to until the end of 2025.
