Lucy is built and prepared to make an immediate and long term impact on the AFLW. A natural ball winner with a huge competitive streak, AFLW clubs found it hard to split her and Gabby Newton in the Draft, with Carlton coming out as the ultimate winners for Lucy’s services.
The Geelong Falcons product was a dominant player in her final two seasons of junior Football for both the Falcon and Vic Country.
Faced with a tough decision leading up to the Draft as to whether select all of Victoria or Geelong only, Lucy opted to select all of Victoria as she was keen to move to Melbourne and start her degree in Paramedics. Having endured a stop start career due to COVID, Lucy had a slow start to the AFLW season in 2021 as she suffered a facial fracture in a practice game mishap a fortnight out from the season. However Lucy overcame the setback and finished the season strongly.
