A supremely gifted athlete, Lara focused her attention to Netball in her late teens resulting in a rapid rise through the ranks. A highly talented mid court, Lara has grown up in a family of elite sportsmen with her father, Andrew, a Sydney Swans Champion, younger brother Josh who is a current Western Bulldogs Premiership Player, and Kyle who played for Melbourne.
Captain of the Victorian Fury in 2018, Lara was also in the training squad for the Melbourne Vixens before getting her opportunity to become a contracted player in 2019 due to an injury to a fellow squad member. This led to Lara making her SSN debut in the Round 6 win over the Sunshine Coast where she featured at Wing Attack.
At the conclusion of the 2019 season, Lara was approached by the Queensland Firebirds to join their team for the 2020 season as an injury replacement player to Mahalia Cassidy. Desperate for more court time, Lara took the opportunity and slotted in nicely to her new surrounds in Brisbane. Playing in each of the Firebirds games for the season, Lara was rewarded with a contract extension where she continued to build her form and confidence. This was evident in 2021 where she took her game to another level and signed for a further two seasons which included being named as Vice Captain for the 2022 season. Lara is also a current member of the Australian Diamonds Development Squad
