Damian Lane has become one of the most successful & sought after jockey’s in Australia. Lane secured his first Melbourne Metropolitan Premiership in 2023 /2024 riding 88 winners to finish 13 wins clear of his nearest rival.

Originally from Bunbury, Lane began his career in Western Australia in 2009 before moving to Victoria. He rode his first Group One winner in 2014 when  Trust in a Gust saluted in the Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield.
His career has gone from strength to strength with over 1500 career wins, including 34 at Group One level. He has not only won the majority of big races in Australia including the Cox Plate, Caulfield Cup, Caulfield Guineas & Golden Slipper to name a few, he has also become a much sought after hoop internationally.

Lane has had major success internationally in both Hong Kong & Japan. He is particularly popular in Japan due to his association with champion stayer Lys Gracieux.

At only 31 years of age, Damian will continue to dominate feature racing for years to come.
