A leading voice of Football in Australia, Amy is an informed and recognizable talent who articulately covers the game, using her knowledge and experience she gained as a professional player.

Playing the game at the highest level for 10 years in Australia for Brisbane Roar, including stints in Los Angeles, Amy’s career highlights was representing the Matildas on 20 occasions from 2007 – 2014 and tasting Championship and Premiership success with the Roar.

Upon retiring from professional football in 2018, Amy quickly established herself as a commentator and expert panelist on all aspects of the game. This included being the face of Optus Sport’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and working with Fox Sports Australia as a panelist and co-commentator covering the Matildas, W-League, and A-League.

In recent years, Amy has covered the Matildas in the 2020 Olympics for Channel 7, whilst also holding a role for Channel 10 who gained the broadcast rights for A League Men & Women for the 2021/22 Season. In addition to this Amy also covered the English Premier League and was co-host of the Australian Professional League Weekly Podcast.

As the Matildas swept the nation in the 2023 Womens World Cup, Amy played a prominent role in the coverage for both Optus Sport and HBS. Following the Matildas around the country, Amy had exclusive interview access to the players bringing viewers the latest news on how the team was faring, as well as providing expert commentary in their matches along with other nations.

Whilst Football is Amy’s specialty, she holds a love for all sports and has a broad knowledge of the current landscape, especially Women’s sport. This has resulted in Amy making multiple appearances on Channel 9’s Wide World of Sports, where she not only discusses the latest in football news in Australia and overseas, but also topical issues in sport.

As a former player, Amy is still very passionate about the game and its players. She currently holds a role at Football Queensland as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Womens committee. Prior to her appointment to the board, Amy was a delegate for Professional Footballers Australia and was a leading voice in the negotiations of the first W-League CBA, and initiated the first ever PFA Corporate Partnership designed to provide a pathway for players transitioning out of the game.

In addition to her media commitments and non-executive roles, Amy works for a leading Medical Device company as a clinical specialist for Neurosurgery and is an Ambassador for Solarbuddy. Solarbuddy is a Registered Australian Charity which aims to provide solar flood lights for sporting fields in remote indigenous communities via the ‘illuminating futures project’.

An outstanding media talent, Amy has participated in multiple high profile panels discussing women’s sport and sports governance.
