Gryan had an exceptional 2017 season for the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup, along with a successful National Championships, representing Vic Country in the Under 18 National Championships. With an unbelievable goal sense, Gryan finished the TAC Cup season with 50 goals to his name which is an unbelievable achievement for a small forward. This culminated with a 7 goal effort in the TAC Cup Grand Final, leading him to Best on Ground honours in his team close win over the Sandringham Dragons.

Selected by Geelong in the 2017 Draft, Gryan had a really good first season playing in the VFL. Mainly playing as a small forward, Gryan kicked 20 goals and polled well in the Best & Fairest finishing 5th. Building on his first season, Gryan took the opportunity of his Round 1 AFL debut in 2019 with both hands, playing every game for the season including the Preliminary Final, kicking 29 goals for the year.

Gryan continued this form into the 2020 season and is now rated as one of the league’s most dangerous small forwards due to his ability to hit the scoreboard and provide plenty of defensive pressure. Outlining his importance to the team, Gryan missed a few games in 2021 due to injury but was always immediately rushed back into the team when fit. Overcoming those injuries, Gryan played an integral part to the 2022 Premiership success. Gyran had another great season in 2023,  breaking the AFL record for goal assists by an individual in a season, assisting 41 goals.
