A current star of Australian Sports Media, Brittany Taylor, has grown a huge presence in the West Australian market where she has featured on Sky Racing for the WA Metro meetings on Wednesday and Saturday’s, along with hitting the airwaves for Triple M for both their AFL Coverage & Deadset Legends program.

Britt’s fascination with the media landscape started at a very young age, to the point where all she can remember as a child is wanting to be a TV presenter when she grew up. As she played around at home, recording herself presenting the news and other stories of the day, Britt continued to pursue her dream for media upon finishing school when she completed her Bachelor of Commerce (PR & Journalism). Keen to put what she had learnt into action, Britt took on an opportunity at the Sky Racing Academy to further hone her craft in racing media. Upon completing that course and seen as a future star of the industry, Britt was employed in a full time position where she not only brought you the action from Belmont & Ascot, but all the provincial tracks of WA.

Racing media came natural to Britt as she knew grew up with Horse Racing given her family connection to the sport via her grandparents, and father, Jim, who is still a Trainer in his own right. Taking her love of the sport to the next level at 12, Britt started riding track work for her father and got involved in the stables, something that she still does to this day given her passion for the Horses and the sport.  In addition, Britt tasted her first success as an owner at the age of 18, when she had a share of ‘Thateldo’, which built an incredible record of 6 wins and 7 places in its first 13 starts.

As her profile continued to grow, Britt took up various Ambassador Roles including Perth Racing, TAB Touch, Own the Dream, All Star Mile, Australian Cup Carnival, The Racing League, and Crown Perth. In addition to these roles she continued to build her resume with her work on TAB Radio, SEN, and Triple M covering her knowledge on all things sport.

Dominating in the West, Britt’s national breakthrough came when she was announced as one of the Commentators for Channel 10’s Melbourne Cup Coverage which saw her in a number of roles including on the panel and horseback, interviewing the winning jockey’s and giving her analysis of the major Australian carnival.

In late 2023 and in further progression of her career, Britt was announced as the face of NEDs, as the company continues to develop its content offering in the ever changing market. Britt’s passion for the promotion of racing is unquestionable, which has led to her winning multiple awards including RWWA’s Media Personality of the Year, as well as the Ladies of Racing Leadership Award.

A bright future awaits this star.
